We’re at a pivotal point in our journey: our first grid-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) goes live this year in Finland — and this is just the beginning. As we prepare for rapid growth across Europe, we’re looking for a BESS Asset Management Lead to take charge of our operational assets and play a key role in shaping a resilient, future-proof energy infrastructure.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance, reliability, and financial outcomes of the BESS portfolio. Acting as the central coordination point, you’ll ensure effective collaboration across internal teams, local entities, and third-party contractors. By leveraging local resources while maintaining overarching accountability, you’ll drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and maximized returns across all active and future BESS assets.
Location: Olten/Lausanne, Helsinki, Paris
Your main responsibilities
- Lead the performance, reliability, and financial results of all utility-scale BESS assets
- Develop and implement a robust asset management strategy and efficient organisation across multiple countries, establish central steering and reporting while leveraging local company expertise and resources
- Coordinate internal teams, local operations, and third-party service providers
- Analyze operational data and drive improvements in efficiency and profitability
- Manage risk, warranties, compliance, and spare parts strategy
- Oversee budgeting, reporting, and key financial metrics (revenue, costs, ROI)
- Continuously implement best practices and innovative solutions
Your profile
- 5+ years in asset management or operations of utility-scale energy systems (ideally BESS)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across geographies and cultures
- Deep understanding of BESS technology, O&M practices, and asset KPIs
- Financial literacy and experience with portfolio-level steering
- Degree in Engineering, Energy, or Business-related fields
- Fluent in English; German or French is a plus
