Alpiq expands its presence in energy services in Germany

Lausanne – Alpiq is expanding its presence in energy services in the region of Rhein-Main, Germany. For this purpose, Kraftanlagen München GmbH, an Alpiq Group company, has concluded a purchase contract for the acquisition of Jakob Ebling GmbH with headquarters in Nierstein in Rheinland-Pfalz. The acquisition conforms to Alpiq’s strategy to geographically expand market presence in energy services, and to make targeted investments in growth fields.

Jakob Ebling Heizung Lüftung Sanitär GmbH has about 60 employees, and is specialised in planning and installation of heating, ventilation, cooling and control technology systems. The energy service company’s customer base mainly comprises commercial customers such as hotels and administrations, as well as industry and general contractors. The acquisition of Jakob Ebling GmbH is subject to approval by the competition authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose information on the purchase price.
