Mission

We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Junior Business Developer to join Alpiq Spain and contribute to the development of strategic energy infrastructure projects that will shape the future of the energy transition.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact renewable energy, storage, and pumped hydro projects alongside senior decision-makers and experienced industry professionals. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with analytical thinking and project management capabilities to identify opportunities, support project development, and drive value creation.

Your main responsibilities

1. Business Development Activities

  • Support on own PV asset management activities, ensuring compliance with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Oversee PV hybridization-related activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required (including supervision of external permitting activities, business case and internal preparation for construction)
  • Support on identification of BD opportunities in the energy storage sector in Spain

2. PHS Commercial & Project Management Support

i. Commercial Coordination & Documentation

  • Manage internal and external project documentation.
  • Organize project meetings and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM), executive summaries, and action trackers.
  • Support commercial negotiations and stakeholder communications through accurate documentation and follow-up.

ii. Financial & Controlling Coordination

  • Support coordination between Treasury and Project Controlling functions, facilitating information flow and alignment.
  • Assist in resolving financial and reporting discrepancies across project stakeholders.

iii. Project Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain regular project management reports, including:
  • Project Weekly Meetings Report.
  • Resource and personnel controlling reports, including hours tracking and site presence monitoring.
  • Gather treasury and cash flow reports, as well as budget reports and ensure consistency.
  • Consolidate project information for management reviews and decision-making processes.

iv. Funding & Regulatory Support

  • Support the preparation and submission of CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) funding applications.
  • Coordinate required documentation, data gathering, and stakeholder inputs for submissions.

v. Administrative Support

  • Provide local administrative support for project activities.
  • Coordinate logistics, documentation management, and local stakeholder interactions.
  • Support procurement, contract administration, and other operational requirements as needed.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Energy Management, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated interest in business development, project development and strategic project management.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, project management, commercial roles, consulting, infrastructure, renewable energy, or energy transition projects.
  • Proven ability to analyze business opportunities, develop commercial proposals, and coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of energy and power markets
  • Strong understanding of project controls, budget management, treasury coordination, and reporting processes.
  • Experience preparing executive reports, meeting documentation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Knowledge of European funding programs (CEF or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
