Mission

The Third-Party BESS/Flex Asset Optimiser is responsible for the end-to-end operational management and optimisation of Alpiq’s Swiss third-party BESS and flexibility portfolio, including daily pooling operations, onboarding, lifecycle management, compliance, performance monitoring and coordination with key internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on translating contractual, technical, market and regulatory requirements into clear operating rules and scalable processes, ensuring that the portfolio can be operated reliably, compliantly and profitably as it grows.

By acting as accountable operational owner within Asset Optimisation, the role ensures efficient coordination between Origination, Trading, IT/EDM, Back Office, Quants, asset owners and Swissgrid, while maintaining a strong link between customer needs, market opportunities and operational execution.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end daily operation of the Swiss flex pool (BESS, PV, CHP...) for third‑party assets (and potential Alpiq assets)
  • Act as accountable owner for BESS pooling operations in Switzerland
  • Ensure Swissgrid compliance, prequalification and regulatory adherence
  • Lead onboarding and lifecycle management of third‑party BESS assets
  • Translate contracts, asset constraints and warranties into clear operating rules
  • Act as single-point of contact for client’s operational requests

Your Impact

In this role, you ensure that Alpiq’s growing third-party BESS and flexibility portfolio is operated safely, efficiently and profitably. By owning the end-to-end operational management of the pool, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuously improving performance, you directly contribute to value creation for both Alpiq and its customers.

Your work is highly collaborative and business-facing. Acting as the central interface between Origination, Trading, IT/EDM, Back Office, Quants, Swissgrid and asset owners, you bring structure, transparency and scalability to a fast-growing business. Through strong stakeholder coordination and optimisation expertise, you help transform complex flexibility assets into sustainable long-term value

Your Profile
