If you want to be part of this great project, join us as Senior Accountant! You will join to a young, dynamic and international environment, where your role will be key to the proper management of the Company's accounting administration, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
Your accountabilities- Manage the company’s general accounting under both Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
- Perform the monthly/annual closing.
- Management of auditing processes.
- Prepare annual financial statements and statutory books.
- Ensure all accounting transactions are accurate and fully compliant with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and supporting documentation to the Alpiq Group.
- Develop, document, and implement internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Review the preparation of tax declarations prior to submission (VAT, IRPF, Special Taxes — hydrocarbons, electricity — Local Taxes, and Foral Taxes).
- Identify and implement process improvements to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external providers, auditors, and tax or accounting advisors/consultants.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within an international environment, ideally within a group of companies or an auditing firm (preferably one of the Big Four) and within the energy sector.
- Solid technical knowledge of both IFRS and Spanish GAAP.
- Advanced user of SAP ECC and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of taxation (VAT, IRPF, Special Taxes — hydrocarbons, electricity — Local Taxes, and Foral Taxes).
- High level of English (C1 or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a results-oriented and critical-thinking mindset.
