At Alpiq, your energy matters!
MissionTo manage Alpiq’s Green Power assets portfolio in Europe, we are looking for a Head Asset Management.
Reporting to the Head of the unit Green Power, the Head Asset Management leads the operations of Alpiq’s Green Power assets to maximize availability and value creation, focusing on risk management, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and driving efficiency through best practices.
You will lead a pan European organisation comprising asset managers in the various countries where Alpiq active is (CH, ES, IT, FR, Nordics and new countries with assets under development), covering various assets and technologies: Wind, PV, BESS, green H2, small hydro and new green energy solutions.
You will structure the Asset Management and O&M expertise within Alpiq’s Unit Green Power, define best in class standards for all the geographies and ensure application of Alpiq’s Health&Safety and Cybersecurity standards.
You will identify and orchestrate, with local asset managers, asset performance improvement projects like wind farm repowering.
The role demands leadership, a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills.
Regular travel to assets sites and stakeholders’ locations are required.
Your main responsibilities
Pan European Asset Management organization management
Manage a diverse team of c.a. 20, based in various countries (CH, ES, IT, FR and Nordics)
Ensure coordination across the different teams in Europe
Structure the development of teams’ skills and capabilities
Asset Management strategy
Develop a comprehensive asset management strategy
Ensure O&M best practices deployment and harmonization across Europe
Identify and leverage synergies across geographies
Manage the O&M budget and coordinate negotiations with suppliers
Performance optimization
Ensure the tracking and reporting of assets performances, technical and financials
Define and implement initiatives to ensure assets high availability levels, reliability, efficiency and profitability and ensure that performances targets are met
Supervise the reporting to senior management and stakeholders on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities
Identify and Orchestrate asset performance improvement projects like asset repowering
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by integrating lessons learned and stakeholder feedback into asset management practices
Stakeholders’ and suppliers management
Coordinate activities, information sharing and alignment with internal partners along asset value chain, most importantly trading, finance, legal, communication and public affairs organizations.
Supervise and coordinate negotiations with suppliers and O&M service providers
Risk Management and Compliance
Identify and mitigate risks associated with technical, operational, and market factors affecting the asset portfolio
Ensure adherence with all relevant regulations, Health & Safety and Cybersecurity standards, and company policies.
Develop contingency plans and manage incident response for any unexpected operational issues
