For years we have been committed to obtaining environmental certification and renewable energy quality labels for our hydroelectricity.
Alpiq is also an industry pioneer when it comes to quality certification:
The electricity generated by Alpiq was certified by TÜV SÜD in April 2000, confirming that the Alpiq’s hydroelectric power stations generate electricity completely from renewable energy sources (TÜV SÜD EE02).
Grande Dixence SA, a member of the Alpiq Group, has been ISO 14001-certified since 2001.
In 2012, Grande Dixence SA was awarded the Swiss "Naturemade basic" quality label for another five years.
- In 2015 the Association for Environmentally Sound Energy (VUE) has once again awarded the "naturemade star " seal of quality to the Ruppoldingen hydroelectric power station. After 2010, this is already the second time that the power station has received the highest distinction for ecological power generation.
The quality label entails strict requirements in terms of an environmental management system and criteria such as emissions reduction and the share of renewable energies in overall production.
