Maggia storage power stations

The Maggia power stations use the water from the rivers Maggia and Brenno, utilising the drop between the Gries reservoir and Lago Maggiore. The gross head of approximately 2,200 metres is the highest fall in Switzerland that is used by a chain of high-capacity storage power stations.
