e-mobility – Alpiq on board

Until now automobiles and Alpiq would not have been considered as partners. Mobility on the roads means above all petrol, diesel and exhaust fumes. In the e-era, new technologies are being forced upon us. Alpiq InTec has been involved in electromobility for several years and can now count itself amongst the pioneers.

Partnership with Mitsubishi

Based upon the cooperation since 2008 with the company Protoscar, which amongst other things manufactures battery charging stations, as well as the latest cooperation with Mitsubishi, Alpiq is now in a position to present an innovative solution for the charging of electrically powered cars. This was presented as a Swiss premier at the 81st International Motorshow in Geneva. It is a charging post for home use that has been developed by Protoscar in cooperation with Alpiq.

100 Alpiq Home Charge Devices (HCD) Just a few weeks ago, Alpiq InTec entered into an agreement for an exclusive delivery of the first batch of 100 Home Charge Devices (HCDs) to Mitsubishi. The Japanese car manufacturer will in turn offer the charging station to its customers upon the purchase of an electrically powered Model i-MiEV car. However, the automobile giant is not just offering the HCD on its own, but rather as part of a complete package that includes full installation by Alpiq. The Swiss-wide installation of the Home Charge Device is being coordinated by Claude Mathieu, Head of the Elektro Department at Alpiq InTec Ost in Zurich.
