The companies EČS - Elektrárna Čechy-Střed and ČEPS have agreed to cooperate in the connection of the planned combined cycle (CCGT) power plant near Mochov in Central Bohemia. The signed contract on the future connection of the new CCGT source to the CZ transmission system defines conditions and individual steps of the preparation and implementation of the connection of the power plant to the grid. The contract allows for a connection of 1000 MW class CCGT power plant.

The investors of the project, RWE and Alpiq energy groups, are currently completing the EIA study that will evaluate the impact of the power plant on the environment. The results of this study will then be presented to the public.
