Solar farm Narbone Serre
M&A Rinnovabilli S.r.l. is setting up a solar farm on Monte Narbone near Agrigento, in Sicily. The plant will use thin-film solar cells to convert the sun’s energy into electricity. The solar cells, which are made in-house, have a combined capacity of 14 MW. The first section of the solar farm will go operational early in 2010, generating 6.5 MW. A second installation rated at 7.5 MW is still at the approvals phase.
