The transfer of 15 percent of the share capital in the Nant de Drance SA project company from Alpiq to IWB has been successfully finalised between the partners.

Industrielle Werke Basel (IWB) will become a new partner in the Nant de Drance pumped storage power station currently under construction. Alpiq is to sell IWB a 15 per cent stake in Nant de Drance SA. With this, the company will hold a 39 per cent interest in the project.

2012 promises to be a busy year at the Nant de Drance construction site. Tunnelling will be completed in the summer, while excavation of the main cavern will continue. Work on raising the Vieux Emosson dam is scheduled to begin in late spring. Over 250 people will be working at the construction site in 2012.
