The Board of Directors of Alpiq Holding AG has appointed Jasmin Staiblin, currently Country Manager of ABB Switzerland, as the new Alpiq CEO. She will at a time still to be defined take over from Hans E. Schweickardt, who will once again concentrate on his mandate as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Dr. Martin Eschle has been appointed the new Head of Alpiq's Market Switzerland business unit. The 45-year-old physicist and business graduate will take up the new position in the course of 2011.

The Alpiq Group has made new appointments in two business divisions: Dr Michaël Plaschy will take over as Head of the Nuclear & Thermal Power Generation business unit with effect from 1 January 2011, and Renato Sturani will become Head of the new Renewable Energy Sources business unit as of 1 April 2011.

Two personnel changes will be taking place in the Energy Central Europe business division during the course of this year.
Franz Scheiber is to become the new head of the Market Central Europe North business unit at 1 May 2010, and Matthias Zwicky will become the new head of the Power Generation Central Europe business unit at 1 January 2011.
