As part of its partnership with A3, the association of EPFL graduates and doctoral students, Alpiq is supporting the alumni’s Mondial A3.

The 2012 edition of this annual event will enable the EPFL alumni to meet again on September 13 on the campus for an unprecedented event, as the reunion will be combined with a TEDx conference. Renamed Mondial A3 – TEDxHelvetia for the occasion, the event will feature internationally renowned speakers.

The TED conference (Technology Entertainment Design) sees itself as an ideas propagator and is making available free of charge on its web site experts’ presentations on a wide range of topics. On the general topic "Come and imagine the future with us", TEDxHelvetia will address behavioural changes, be it in the area of mobility, town planning, biology, consumption, demographics, finance, science and geopolitics, to mention but a few. About 15 experts from around the world will address these topics in front of some 900 participants.

Our support for this event forms part of our co-operation with EPFL to promote innovation. What’s more, Alpiq will be present in the exhibition area devoted to mobility of the future with a presentation of its E-Mobility recharging infrastructure services. The Lampo3 and the Mitsubishi iMiEV, two types of 100% electric vehicles, will also be available for test drives.

All the presentations will be able to be heard live and recorded on the website www.tedxhelvetia.ch. The detailed programme will be put on-line by mid-August.
