With a total installed capacity of 7,595 megawatts (MW), Alpiq is making a major contribution to the security of electricity supplies in Switzerland, as well as the rest of Europe. In electricity trading and sales, Alpiq is active across 33 countries, giving it strong roots in Europe. Energy Services
Alpiq has a strong presence in the European energy services sector. The company is a leader in its two core markets of Switzerland and Germany, its role secured by the broadbased product mix of its strong, established subsidiaries: the AIT Group in Switzerland and AAT Group in Germany. In Central Europe as well, the Energy Services segment is excellently positioned to become a central player in important future markets. Within the Energy Services segment, Alpiq provides a broad offering in these four business areas:

- Energy supply technology and network technology
- Transport technology
- Building services
Alpiq sets great store by enhancing energy-efficiency. Its activities in this area are concentrated in the newly established Alpiq EcoServices AG. The company’s focused mix of products and services holds great potential.
