Energy

The attractive mix of peak and base load energy at Alpiq’s disposal includes a high proportion of eco-friendly hydroelectric and wind power. Extensive peak energy capacity in particular opens interesting business perspectives in the European energy market. With a total installed capacity of 6 322 megawatts (MW), Alpiq is making a major contribution to the security of electricity supplies in Switzerland, as well as the rest of Europe. The company’s own power stations form the basis for providing customers with a dependable supply that can adapt to changing needs at a moment’s notice.

In electricity trading and sales, Alpiq is active across 31 countries, giving it strong roots in Europe. With its close-knit network of sales companies, Alpiq is in an optimal position to serve customers.
